"Peace: It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work.
It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart."
I have been licensed in the state of NY as a LCSW since 1982. I am licensed in the following states: Arizona, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Florida, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, South Carolina Out-of-State Independent Social Worker Telehealth Provider, Texas, and Virginia. Additionally, I am a member of NERA (NEW ENGLAND RECOVERY ASSOCIATES).
I am a Certified Trauma Specialist that is IFS Informed. My clients have commonly suffered from anxiety, depression, grief, childhood trauma, personality disorders (i.e. borderline, narcissistic, OCPD), addiction recovery, and the everyday issues many of us face in life.
I have years of expertise in helping sex addicts and betrayed partners whose relationships are in crisis due to infidelity, affairs, pornography and sex addiction.
I am a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT), a designation of The International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals. As a CSAT, I have received intensive and experiential training in the treatment of sex addiction and the use of the 30-Task Model developed by Patrick Carnes, Ph.D. Carnes’s research-based 30-Task Model has proven effective for achieving long-term recovery from addiction(s).
I am also a Certified Clinical Partner Specialist (CCPS), a designation of The Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists (APSATS). As a CCPS, I have advanced training in the Multidimensional Partner Trauma Model, which provides a sound foundation for assisting betrayed partners in their healing process. I help both individuals and couples; develop recognition of triggers, learn healthy coping skills, restore sanity and trust in themselves, and explore the next steps for recovery.
I participate in ongoing clinical training, coursework, and conferences from APSATS, IITAP, and SASH. I work closely with other psychotherapists, Certified Sex Addiction Therapists and APSATS trained therapists.
I am a Preferred Provider for Dr. Ken Adams regarding Overcoming Enmeshment.
I provide individual, couple, family, and group psycho-educational therapy.
Since physical distancing has become the new norm, I am pleased to announce all services offered are now through HIPAA-Compliant Teletherapy via ZOOM or telephone.
